So you’ve been assigned a task by your adviser, or you see a “Checklist” in your dashboard? This guide helps you understand what these items mean and why they are essential for your financial security.
What is an adviser checklist?
A checklist is a series of internal and client-facing steps that ensure your advice is compliant, accurate, and high-quality. When you see these in your Tasks list, it means we are moving through a specific advice process.
Common checklist items
- ID Verification: A legal requirement before we can provide formal advice.
- Fact Find Review: Ensuring the data in your Living Profile is 100% accurate.
- Strategy Drafting: The technical work of modelling your financial future.
- SOA Generation: Creating your formal Statement of Advice document.
Why some tasks are “read-only”
You might see tasks that you can’t “check off” yourself. These are often milestones that only your adviser can complete once they have verified certain documents or received confirmation from a third party (like an insurance provider).
How to help the process
- Upload evidence: If a task asks for a document, upload it to the Document vault and mark the task as “Done”.
- Be prompt: Many tasks are part of a sequence. If one step is delayed, the whole advice process might pause.
