Rask Rask

The Rask dashboard is your personalised mission control. It’s designed to give you a high-trust snapshot of your financial life and the clearest next action you can take.

You can also tailor the main dashboard widgets to suit the way you like to work. Your layout is saved to your account, so it follows you across devices.

The sidebar now uses simpler top-level destinations instead of nested dropdowns. As a client user, the main rail is grouped into:

  • Your workspace: Dashboard, Plan, Vault
  • Explore: Invest, Discover, Tools, Learn, Community
  • Account and Log out below that

Each of the hub destinations opens a page that explains the area and links to the relevant tools, rather than hiding those links inside the sidebar.

If your core onboarding is already complete, you may also see a one-time dashboard setup prompt. This helps you choose whether to lead with wealth tracking, staying organised, or research ideas. It rearranges the existing widgets and also chooses the small companion widget that sits beside your dashboard intro. You can change it later at any time with Edit mode.

What’s on your dashboard?

Your dashboard is divided into several key areas to help you stay informed and actionable. If you’re brand new to Rask, you’ll first see an onboarding setup view that helps you complete the most important first steps.

1. Your setup panel

If your onboarding is still in progress, the top of the dashboard becomes a guided setup panel instead of a generic summary. It shows:

  • a welcome hero with your next required step
  • a dedicated Your first three steps progress panel on the right
  • a featured Rask podcast or video to watch while you get started

The three steps are designed to add value early without long forms:

  1. Set your goals — tell Rask what you’re working toward so we can shape the roadmap.
  2. Create a watchlist — track the markets and ideas you care about (jumps you to your Watchlist).
  3. Track your net wealth — add an asset or liability so your dashboard shows where you stand today.

Each step is detected automatically — if you’ve already done one of them (for example you completed the Fact Find earlier and Rask already has wealth entities for you), it will show as Done straight away. The setup panel stays pinned above your widgets until all three are complete.

2. The hero snapshot

Once your core setup is complete, the dashboard switches back to the standard hero snapshot. This gives you a quick summary of your financial pulse and wealth picture, along with a small companion widget beside it such as Upcoming, Portfolio, or Watchlist.

The universal search bar now lives in the top-right of the private app shell. It still opens the same search dialog and keyboard shortcut (⌘/Ctrl + K), but the shell is more compact and leaves the page title area less crowded.

4. Latest from Rask

Stay ahead of the markets with a curated feed of our latest podcasts, articles, and news.

5. For You

Once your core onboarding is complete, the dashboard can also show a For you widget. This surfaces interest-aware content based on the authors, topics, and podcast shows you follow, with recent Rask content used as a fallback when you haven’t followed much yet.

6. Your priorities

This is your “to-do list” for your financial roadmap. It highlights:

  • Overdue tasks: Anything that needs immediate attention.
  • Due Today: Your focus for the next 24 hours.
  • Next Steps: A list of actionable items like uploading a document or completing a form.

7. Wealth and portfolio

Get a high-level view of your “big numbers”:

  • Net Wealth: Your total assets minus liabilities.
  • Monthly Net: A quick check on whether you’re spending more or less than you earn this month.
  • Portfolio Value: The live market value of your connected investments (Navexa, Sharesight, etc.).

If you’ve already connected portfolio or cashflow data, these widgets can also show preview charts instead of placeholder states.

8. Watchlist

Your watchlist widget is designed to be more than a static list. Depending on your setup, it can show:

  • live prices
  • daily market moves
  • a quick-add search so you can add a stock or ETF without leaving the dashboard

9. Community pulse

If your onboarding is complete, you may also see community discovery widgets that help the dashboard feel more alive:

  • Community Pulse highlights recent community-note activity and markets that are popular on Rask right now.
  • Top Contributors gives lightweight recognition to member handles whose notes stood out over the last month.

These are read-only discovery modules. They do not change your watchlist or publish anything on your behalf.

10. Quick actions

A horizontal strip of one-tap buttons to help you “do something” instantly:

  • Connect Bank: Link your accounts for automated cashflow.
  • Upload Document: Share files securely with your adviser.
  • Add Watchlist: Track a new stock or ETF.
  • Message Adviser: Start a conversation with the Rask team.

11. This week (calendar)

A compact preview of your upcoming schedule and deadlines. You can tap through to the full Tasks page for a detailed calendar view.

Customizing your widgets

Select Edit mode to edit the main dashboard area.

  • You can move widgets within the dashboard’s main zones.
  • You can hide optional widgets and restore them later.
  • Some widgets can be shown in different sizes to give more space to the things you care about most.
  • You can also choose the small companion widget that sits beside the hero once setup is complete.
  • Your hero area, onboarding setup checklist, and any featured getting-started modules stay pinned.
  • Your saved layout syncs to your account automatically.

Pro tips for investors

  • Check the Pulse: Land on the dashboard once a day to see if there are any new priorities or “next steps” waiting for you.
  • Finish the first 3 steps: If you see the onboarding setup panel, complete those steps first. That unlocks a more personalised dashboard.
  • Use the setup prompt once you’re through onboarding: Pick the dashboard focus that matches what you want from Rask right now. It’s just a starting point, not a permanent lock-in.
  • Use the discovery layer once your setup is done: The For you, Community Pulse, and Top Contributors widgets are there to help you spot ideas and community signals without leaving the dashboard.
  • Use the Quick Actions: Don’t dig through menus — if you need to upload a tax return or message us, the fastest way is the Action Strip.
  • Follow the Momentum: If your “Monthly Net” is green, you’re building wealth. If it’s red, it might be time to check your Cashflow details.
