Rask Rask

Rask AI can change a lot of your data — with your confirmation on every single change. Here’s the full picture.

The principle: anything Rask AI is allowed to change, it proposes in chat and asks you to confirm first. The proposal card always shows you the diff (current → new) before anything saves, and clicking Save writes the change through the same code path as the matching app page.

Fact find

The broadest surface. Available from the Forms hub, the Fact Find page itself, and the floating button on Dashboard and Tasks.

Personal details

  • first_name, last_name, preferred_name
  • phone, residential_address, postal_address
  • (Date of birth and email are deliberately excluded — see What Rask AI deliberately won’t do.)

Employment

  • occupation, employer_name, industry
  • years_in_role, hours_per_week, status (full_time / part_time / casual / contract / self_employed / unemployed / retired / student / home_duties)

Income

  • salary_before_tax, bonus_income
  • expected_changes (free-text note, e.g. “promotion locked in for July”)
  • includes_super (true/false)

Household

  • marital_status (Single / Engaged / Married / Defacto / Separated / Divorced)
  • Add or remove a dependent_child (name + date of birth)

Expenses

  • 9 named monthly categories (housing, utilities, transport, groceries, medical, education, holidays, fun_money, loan_repayments) — overwrite the amount or frequency
  • Add or remove free-form expenses under “other” (description + amount + frequency)
  • Add or remove insurance expenses (cashflow lens — Health Insurance, Income protection, Other life insurances, General insurances)

Superannuation

  • Add, update, or archive a super account (fund_name, balance, account_type)
  • Update contribution settings (sg_amount_percent, is_minimum_sg, add_extra, salary_sacrifice_annual, personal_after_tax_annual)
  • (SMSF ownership / trustees stay on the Tax Structures page — see What Rask AI deliberately won’t do.)

Assets

Across four categories — properties, vehicles, cash accounts, investments — Rask AI can:

  • Add a new asset row
  • Update any field the form lets you edit on an existing row (including current_value, current_market_value, bank_name, make, model, address, ownership_structure, legal_owner)
  • Soft-archive a row

Liabilities

  • Add, update, or archive a personal_loan row (current_value, monthly_repayments, legal_owner)
  • Add, update, or archive a credit_card row (bank_name, current_balance, current_limit, min_monthly_repayment, legal_owner)
  • Update the hecs_help balance (single number)
  • Update the inline liability sub-object on a property/vehicle/investment row (type, monthly_repayment)

Estate planning

  • has_will, will_date_updated, has_poa
  • guardianship_arrangements, special_considerations
  • (Document refs — will_document_ref, poa_document_ref — stay manual; you upload the documents through the Document vault.)

Investment preferences

  • ethical_preference (Not Important / Important / Crucial)
  • tax_optimization_appetite (Conservative / Moderate / High)
  • upside_potential_appetite (3-option enum)
  • communication_frequency (Monthly / Quarterly / Half-Yearly / Annually)
  • management_style (3-option enum)
  • exclusions_notes (free-text — “no tobacco, no weapons”, etc.)

Goals — /goals

  • Add a new goal (name, category, target month/year, amount, priority, notes)
  • Update one field on an existing goal
  • Soft-archive a goal

Risk profile — /form/risk-profile

  • Update any of the 8 dimension scores (investmentExperience, timeHorizon, riskTolerance, financialKnowledge, investmentGoals, incomeStability, debtLevel, marketVolatility) — integer 0..5
  • The total + category (Defensive / Conservative / Balanced / Growth / Aggressive) are computed server-side. Rask never proposes those directly — only the answers, then the server recomputes. The proposal card shows you the resulting category change before you save (e.g. “this would shift you from Balanced to Growth”).

Journal — /journal

  • Find a note you wrote (read-only — no proposal needed)
  • Add a new note (Markdown body, optional reminder date)
  • Overwrite the body of an existing note
  • Set or clear a note’s reminder
  • Soft-archive a note
  • (Publishing a public snapshot stays a deliberate manual click on the journal card — Rask AI never proposes publication.)

Watchlist and price alerts — /watchlist

  • Add an investment to a watchlist
  • Remove an investment from a watchlist
  • Set a price alert (above/below threshold, optional one-shot)
  • Clear an existing price alert

Tax structures — /net-wealth/entities

Member-owned structures only. Rask AI never proposes changes against an adviser-managed structure.

  • Add a participant (by partyId and role: beneficiary / unit_holder / shareholder / director / trustee / appointor / settlor / member / partner)
  • Update a participant’s role
  • Soft-remove a participant

Wealth entities — /net-wealth/entities

The canonical ledger powering /net-wealth. Members can ask Rask AI to manage entities they own.

  • Add a new entity (property, vehicle, investment account, cash account, super account, HECS, mortgage, investment loan, credit card, personal loan)
  • Update a field on an entity (e.g. rename, change ABN, set capacity)
  • Update the current value or balance (Rask drafts a fresh valuation entry; metric resolves automatically per entity kind)
  • Add a co-owner with the right capacity (legal or beneficial) + percent share
  • Update or end an existing ownership record
  • Set per-entity loan terms on a liability (lender, rate, repayment amount + frequency, term, IO end date)
  • Set the growth/depreciation override on an asset
  • Set super-specific detail (fund kind, phase: accumulation / pension / TTR, member number, annual benefit)
  • Archive an entity (soft delete)

What Rask AI won’t touch here: entities created via the fact-find form (source: 'forms'). Update those from /forms/fact-find so the form stays in sync.

Net wealth forecaster — /tools/modelling/net-wealth

  • Create a new scenario from your wealth entities (Rask bundles every active entity into the run; you only pick the name and optional horizon, default 30 years)
  • Rename a scenario
  • Soft-archive a scenario
  • Update a scenario assumption (e.g. real_wage_growth_pct, inflation_pct, real_return_pct)
  • Add a one-off event (e.g. inheritance, downsize, sabbatical — kind, optional atMonth, optional deltaCents, optional description)
  • Soft-archive an event

Insurance — /insurance

A first-class home for your cover. Rask AI can manage:

  • Add a new policy (any of life, health, general, business — including AU-specifics like life-inside-super, income protection waiting/benefit periods, stepped vs level premiums)
  • Update a single field on an existing policy (insurer, cover amount, premium, frequency, ownership, dates, status)
  • Soft-archive a policy when you replace it or it lapses

Drop your policy PDF and Rask AI will read it, show you what it understood, then propose adding it.

Tasks — /tasks

The to-do list lives on /tasks. Rask AI can manage your personal tasks (the ones you create yourself — adviser-assigned tasks stay manual).

  • Add a new personal task (title required; optional description, due date, priority, link, recurrence, imminent-reminder offset)
  • Update a single field on an existing task (status, title, description, dueDate, priority, linkUrl, remindOffsetMinutes, recurrenceFrequency, recurrenceInterval)
  • Mark a task as completed — for recurring tasks, the server automatically spawns the next instance (Rask will call this out in the proposal card so you’re not surprised)

Career analyser — /tools/career/analyser

The Career Analyser is its own embedded chat (not the pill) for the full experience:

  • Score your resume (top 3 fixes, per-section feedback)
  • Pull an AU salary band for your role × industry × location, with cited sources
  • Run the compounding-paths chart against your real numbers
  • Walk you through filling in the missing fact-find basics (occupation, employer, salary, etc.)

From the global pill on any other page, you can also:

  • Ask Rask to pull a salary band for a role × industry × location.
  • Ask Rask to draft a Task from a “you should…” idea.
  • Ask Rask to score your resume — the pill will pop an upload card for the file, then run the scorecard inline. The full compounding-paths chart still lives on the Career Analyser page.
