The Insurance page (linked from the Rask app sidebar) is the single home for your insurance cover. Premiums, cover amounts, ownership, beneficiaries, waiting periods — all in one view, organised by category.
What it covers
- Life cover — Term Life, TPD, Trauma / Critical Illness, Income Protection. Including life-inside-super (the common AU pattern where premiums are paid from your super balance).
- Health cover — private hospital, extras, combined.
- General insurance — Home, Contents, Home & Contents, Motor, Travel, Pet, Landlord.
- Business cover — Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Key Person, Business Continuity.
How to add a policy
Three ways:
- Ask Rask AI — click the floating Ask Rask pill on any page and say “I want to add my home & contents policy with NRMA, $750,000 cover, $1,800 annual premium.” Rask AI proposes the policy as a card you confirm.
- Upload the policy PDF — drop your policy document into a Rask AI chat. We save it to your document vault under Rask docs → Insurance, then Rask AI extracts the key fields (insurer, cover amount, premium, ownership, dates) and proposes the policy as a card.
- Add manually — from
/insurance, use the “Add via Rask AI” button (manual CRUD UI coming in a v2 polish).
What Rask AI can do here
- Add a policy — chat-driven add with every field captured
- Update one field on an existing policy — premium changes, cover review, ownership tweak, etc.
- Soft-archive a policy when you replace it or it lapses
Every change is a confirm card before any save — same posture as every other Rask AI surface.
Privacy
Policy documents you upload are stored in your secure document vault on Google Cloud Storage (Australia). The document’s text content is processed by Google Cloud Vertex AI for field extraction; nothing is retained outside your vault. Card numbers, bank account numbers, BSBs, email addresses, TFNs, and Medicare numbers are masked before any document content reaches the AI step.
Policy numbers stored in your records are encrypted at rest.
