So you’re wondering what happens first, second, and third? The Rask advice process is designed to be transparent and efficient. Here is the typical journey once you’ve been matched with Rask Advice.
Before the workflow starts
If you already have a Rask account, open My adviser and select Find my match. You can complete the questionnaire without re-entering your contact details, and your result is saved there for your next visit.
If you do not have an account, start from the financial planning page. You can create or sign in to your account if Rask Advice is the right pathway.
If you match with an advice partner, follow the introduction and booking actions shown with your result. If you match with Rask Advice, continue to Rask Advice booking. You can book your first advice call there, or continue without booking if you have already spoken with the team or do not need a meeting before onboarding. If you skip the booking, the app asks for a reason for Rask staff.
If you need a little more time, you can snooze the booking or onboarding prompt for a short period. If you no longer want to continue with personal financial advice, you can choose I’m no longer interested in personal financial advice to stop the prompts.
1. Booking and onboarding
First, book your introductory advice call or skip the meeting with a reason, then complete the required onboarding items in Rask Advice onboarding.
- Set Goals: Add what you’re working towards in Goals in the Plan section.
- Complete Forms: Fill out your Fact Find and Risk Profile.
- Optional details: Add Medical History and Investment Preferences if they are relevant to the advice you want.
- Upload Documents: Share your tax returns and statements via the Document Vault if your adviser asks for them.
2. Strategy design
Once your data is in, the real work begins.
- Review: Your adviser reviews your profile to ensure everything is accurate.
- Modelling: We use our advice engine to model different strategy options based on your goals.
- Collaboration: You’ll discuss these options with your adviser via Messaging or video call.
3. Paraplanning & formal advice
When you’ve settled on a strategy, we formalise it.
- Generation: We generate a Statement of Advice (SOA) — a comprehensive document explaining our recommendations.
- Review & Sign: You review the SOA in your dashboard and sign it electronically.
4. Implementation and tracking
The plan is only useful if it’s put into action.
- Execution: We help you implement the recommendations (e.g., setting up new investments or insurance).
- Monitoring: Your Net Wealth Tracker and Cashflow dashboard help you stay on track.
- Reviews: We’ll meet regularly to update your strategy as your life changes.
Follow your progress
Return to My adviser to see your adviser, current stage and next step. If your circumstances change, you can retake the matching questionnaire. Your saved match remains unchanged until the retake is submitted, and an existing booking or active advice engagement is not cancelled automatically.
